Treat Yo' Self - Treatbox review

I decided that it was time to treat myself every once in a while, and I have been thinking about looking into a subscription box.
Now I have said time and again that I am quite indecisive, however, I knew that I didn't want just a beauty box, but, I wasn't quite sure what I did want.
A little research later I came upon TreatBox . This seemed perfect for what I was looking for and is only £12 per month. There are different options of how long you may want to subscribe for - 3 or 6 months or continuous until you want to end it. You can also design your own box, and send as a gift to someone.

DIY - Shelving Style Up

The change in season inspired a change in the decor in my bedroom.
I had a mismatched piece of furniture that just did not suit the room anymore (it was an old desk that I have had since I was in my teens) and I have been thinking for a while about getting rid of it for something a bit more stylish and in keeping with the room. Along with this I really fancied a statement shelving piece to display my ever-growing collection of candles and other decorative bits.

Milopitakia - Apple Stuffed Biscuits

So fall is coming upon us, and what better way to spend the darker evenings doing a little bit of baking. Now I am never ready to give up summer (I could permanently live in summer, as long as it isn't a typical British summer!) and as I love Greece so much I thought I would try out one of the many recipes in my Greek Bible of cooking: Vefa's Kitchen.

The recipe of choice being: Milopitakia or Apple stuffed Biscuits.

The sea was sapphire coloured, and the sky Burned - My Trip to Zakynthos

Well, August is always my favourite month of the year, as it is usually always guaranteed that I will be visiting my favourite country: Greece!. This year was no different and we took a family trip to the beautiful Ionian Island of Zakynthos or otherwise known as Zante.

Hiatus is over...

So I took a bit of a hiatus of writing any new blog posts, with the last one being: a day out in Knaresborough. All of this was to take a lovely two week holiday to the beautiful island of Zakynthos (Zante) in Greece.

Now I am still amidst the chaos following a holiday, and enjoying the last minutes of the August BankHoliday, therefore this will be a short post and a little update of what I have been up to.

I did plan on posting more whilst I was away, mainly on my social media accounts, however, my phone decided to have a little time off too as I did not sort out my data settings before jetting off. Wi-fi wasn't always the best either when I was away, and to be honest it was quite nice not to have notifications and alerts coming in. I also was busy snapping away on my camera, so using my phone did take a bit of a side line. I did manage to upload 1 or 2 pics to my Instagram...so check them out for a little sneak peek of what I got up to on my trip.

Anyway, I will write a separate post on my holiday to Zakynthos (hopefully over the next week), and maybe somehow get a handle on planning and scheduling posts, so that there isn't a big gap between posts when I am next away. Let's see how it goes!

As always, Thanks for reading and stayed tuned for a round up of my antics in Greece!

Mexican Fiesta! - Cielo Blanco Review

So this weekend I continued with my prep for my upcoming trip to Greece...by shopping! You can never have too many holiday clothes right?
After a busy day shopping, we decided to finish the day with a bite to eat...choosing Cielo Blanco.

Here's a run down of our time in the beautiful restaurant.

A Taste of Lebanon - Comptoir Libanais Review

A Day at the Races, and a Beer Festival

How is the weekend nearly over already?! I think I really need to start getting organised with this blog.
Anyway...last weekend was another busy one with visiting the races on Saturday and then a beer festival and Sunday.

Afternoon Tea and A waterfront Festival

It has been a busy few weeks, with most weekends being taken up with various antics. It's like when you wait for a bus and three come along at once...but I am not complaining, it has been nice being a social butterfly!
A few weekends ago we started off the weekend with trying out a new-ish Indian restaurant (which you can find the blog post here), followed by afternoon tea and a visit to the waterfront festival in Leeds on Sunday.

Keep Calm and Curry on - Bengal Brasserie Review

A few weeks ago during another busy weekend, we went out for a wonderful meal at a newly opened curry house in Leeds, called Bengal Brasserie.
Below I will write about our experience here, and what the place has to offer. I guess you could call this a restaurant review.

Birthday Shenanigans

The weekend just gone was a very busy one...My birthday, my parent's anniversary and of course father's day.

If in doubt, bake a cake - Dandelion and Burdock Cake!

So it was a bit of a busy end of the week last week. There was a birthday (mine), an anniversary (my parents) and of course father’s day. I will be writing a separate post of my antics of the weekend, which I will post a link to here.
Prior to this I decided to re-test my baking skills, by baking a cake (and buns) to take into work to celebrate my birthday (I am sure I have got this the wrong way round – shouldn’t others be baking for me?) Anyway what can I say, I guess I am a bit of a feeder!
I quite like the different and quirky food you can get, and therefore decided to bake Dandelion and Burdock cake!
